Barb always wanted to go into healthcare and would regularly volunteer at nursing homes during high school and begin providing in-home care while going through nursing school. Since 2006, she has worked in the Level 1 Trauma Center of a Detroit hospital Emergency Room. While there, she has experienced a variety of roles, from clinical staff nurse to education and training of new hires. She continues to work in the ER and also serves as a Nurse Case Manager, helping patients achieve their goals of recovering from their injuries. Barb is known for her sweet, patient and kind demeanor that patients can truly appreciate especially when they are in a vulnerable position in their life.

Barb enjoys spending time with her sons and pets, reading and enjoys working out.
